Privacy
The short version: I collect as little as possible, I do not sell anything about you, and there is no advertising on this site.

What this site collects
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I store the email address you give me, and nothing else. It is held by [YOUR EMAIL PROVIDER, e.g. MailerLite], who process it on my behalf. I use it to send you the free chapter and occasional research updates, roughly monthly. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list.
If you leave a comment, WordPress stores the name, email address and comment text you submit, along with your IP address, which is standard spam protection.
Server logs. My host, [YOUR HOST, e.g. Hostinger], keeps standard access logs including IP addresses. These are used to keep the site running and secure, and they age out automatically.
Analytics. [Delete whichever does not apply.] This site uses no analytics at all. / This site uses [PROVIDER], which is configured not to use cookies and not to collect personal data.
What I never collect. Nothing about your health, your diagnosis or your treatment. This site has no patient accounts, no symptom trackers and no health questionnaires. If you email me about your own case, that email sits in my inbox and goes no further.
Cookies
The site sets no marketing or tracking cookies. WordPress may set a functional cookie if you leave a comment or log in. No consent banner is shown because there is nothing to consent to; if that changes, a banner will appear and non-essential cookies will be off until you turn them on.
Where the book is sold
If you get the book through Payhip, your payment and email are handled by Payhip under their own privacy policy. I see the order and the email address you used. I never see your card details.
If you buy through Amazon, the entire transaction happens on Amazon under their privacy policy, and I receive no personal information about you at all.
Affiliate disclosure
The Amazon links on this site are Amazon Associates affiliate links. If you buy through one, Amazon pays me a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes what I recommend or how anything is graded, and it is why the Payhip edition is offered first: it is pay what you want, so nobody has to spend anything to read the book.
Nothing else on this site is sponsored. I take no money from supplement companies, no free product, and no advertising. If that ever changes it will be disclosed here and on the page concerned.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask me for a copy of anything I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email [YOUR EMAIL] and I will action it, normally within a few days and at most within a month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
The legal basis for the newsletter is your consent, which you gave by subscribing and can withdraw at any time. The legal basis for server logs and spam protection is legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.
Medical disclaimer
Everything on this site is for education and is not medical advice. I am a molecular biologist and a cancer patient, not a physician. Discuss every supplement, drug and lifestyle change with your oncology team before acting on it. Nothing here replaces standard cancer treatment.
